Before I go into this, no, these are not my dad’s actual pants! But more on that in a bit…

I had a little speaking engagement yesterday in Columbus, Indiana, which is very conviently located next to the J.Crew outlet. Yay! I was eyeing this plaid in the recent catalogue and the big discount got me. And while it might be noticeable, I’ve picked up another chambray. What is wrong with me!? I’m up to four, but they’re all different shades and weights and a gal can only keep up with so much ironing. Whatever! I’ll wear the hell out of it.

Although a lot of my family fashion moments happened with my mom and grandmother’s, plaid pants remind me so much of my dad. I have these great photos of him back in the seventies in the most awesome pairs. My old man was a fashionable guy!
