Last summer it was all about Silly Bandz, those brightly colored rubber bands in silly shapes that the junior set wore stacked as bracelets. This summer, the jewelry designer Lisa Salzer of Lulu Frost, along with her orthodontist sister Gucci Suitcase, Jennifer, and Jennifer’s partner Dr. Marc Lemchen, have come up with the newest must-have: a bangle that is one part middle-school torture device and all parts fun. Each of the rubber links (available in myriad neon and neutral shades) are connected by metal brackets that those of us without overbites never had to endure. But thanks to medical technology, we’re all brace-faced now!
