Marta and Elaine MouraGillette Stadium will be full of energy and color on March 24. The New England Revolution announced that its 2012 home opener will be preceded by a high-profile friendly between Brazil's women's national team and Canada.

The Revs open their home slate against the Portland Timbers. It will give the local fans their first look at Jay Heaps' new-look team. The first-year head coach looks to build a team in his own image, and turn around a franchise that has struggled in recent years.

Five-time FIFA World Player of the Year Marta will feature for the Samba Queens. Canada's Christine Sinclair will provide the firepower for the Canadians. The international friendly kicks off at 1 p.m., and the MLS game will immediately follow it.

Revolution fans will be joined by yellow-clad Brazilians, red and white-clad Canadians and fans of the women's game for the event.
