Agitated Atmosphere Quiet Evenings – Transcendin

As major labels continue to exist behind the times, artists and labels with little capital and lesser reputations are producing some of the most innovative, interesting discount soccer jerseys, and inspiring music. Whether it’s creating a new niche in digital technology or looking to once obsolete formats, Agitated Atmosphere hopes to pull back the curtain on a wealth of sights and sound from luminaries such as Quiet Evenings.

Metaphors pile high as the cool textures of Transcending Spheres begin their heavenly journey from speaker to ear. The latest from husband/wife duo Quiet Evenings (and another strong 2011 release from Australian-based label, Preservation) not only lends credence to the moniker by which Rachel and Grant Evans shroud themselves within, but to the title of their latest expedition.

Transcending Spheres is an easy target for write-up spewing analogies of shifting planets and black holes as Grant and Rachel enjoy the solitude of stargazing from their country porch; but much more lies within the delicate compositions from the pair. Though the mood is concurrent with the titles which surround them Coach Outlet, the Evans are able to coax more out of their subtle drones than just tonal anomalies for sound’s sake. Transcending Spheres works to a climax, carefully weaving guitar and synth into dialogue.

Quiet Evenings unravel Transcending Spheres like fine theater. The engrossing plot is introduced with calming crescendos as the duo fill in the story through well-crafted atmospherics. Spaced sounds and distant Doppler wails do creep into the tale but the band is sure to keep their feet on the ground with organic melodies. The pace is deliberate, and though this could be cause for a few to walk out, patience is rewarded when Transcending Spheres begins to coalesce into 60 minutes of cohesive storytelling.

But if you’re just looking for a soundtrack to accompany your long looks into outer space, Transcending Spheres would also fit the bill. Just be prepared to be distracted from the flickering stars by the bright talents of Quiet Evenings.
