Knee-high socks used to be known for their school-girl vibe and as staples of a young Britney Spears. But back in February, designer Lela Rose took knee-highs out of the schoolyard and made them must-have Fall 2011 pieces for any daring fashionista.

Lela Rose is known for her embellished fabrics and designs with “a nod to the era of glamour”. Rose accomplished this vision in her Fall 2011 collection by adding whimsical patterns to timeless pieces.

Look #1: Blue Water Print Skirt

This look is all about balance – the blue, white and navy pattern on the skirt has a whimsical, water-like feel, and truly pops when paired with neutral, structured pieces like this simple top. To recreate the Lela Rose look coach handbags, I started off with a blue skirt that has a water-like pattern. To get the skirt to pop, Rose kept the rest of the outfit basic. To get a similar look, I paired the skirt with a navy sweater and a grey chain bag. To complete the look Coach Factory Outlet, I added grey knee-high socks and grey mary-janes. This outfit would be perfect for a brisk fall Saturday spent shopping with friends.

Look #2: Yellow and Feathered

This Lela Rose Fall 2011 look turns knee-highs into a must-have accessory for a night on the town or a dressy fall day. The socks add a preppy, polished tone to the sultry feathered skirt yet also add their own touch of sex appeal. The mustard-yellow jacket is the perfect addition to an already bold and sexy ensemble.

Due to their unique patterns and cuts, Lela Rose’s actual skirt and top were difficult to recreate exactly Cheap Coach Purses, however I was able to create a similar look for much less. Our version can easily be dressed down to be classroom-friendly or dressed up for a sexy night on the town. I started with this feathered-looking grey Topshop skirt and paired it with a black and white checkered button down. For the pop of color, I added a yellow peacoat. Finish off the look with knee-highs and grey cut-out booties.

Look #3: Statement-Making Floral

The best thing about knee-highs is that they give you the coverage you need while also showing off a sexy peek of skin. Lela Rose made a statement with this whimsical floral dress by pairing it with a bold necklace, a grey and cream moto jacket and her staple knee-highs.

I started this look with a black and blue floral dress – the style and pattern on this one channels Rose’s signature whimsical feel. I then paired it with a light grey jacket and a bold stone statement necklace. Next, I added grey knee-highs and bow strap heels. To finish off the look, try a burgundy lip. This ensemble would be perfect for a night out or a nice dinner date.
